Job Description/Requirements

The Growth Manager for Modern Trade is responsible for driving growth and optimizing distribution channels within the FMCG sector. This role involves developing and executing strategies to become the sole distributor to modern trade partners, building strong relationships with brands and manufacturers, and ensuring proximity of hubs to retail stores. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FMCG from procurement to finish, and a proven ability to craft strategies that provide a competitive advantage in the market.


Responsibilities:

Distribution Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement strategies to become the exclusive distributor to modern trade partners.
  • Identify and build relationships with premium to entry-level modern trade partners.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish strong, strategic relationships with brands and manufacturers to become their sole distributor.
  • Negotiate and secure exclusive distribution agreements with manufacturers.

OmniHub Management:

  • Work with OmniHub’s close-to retail stores to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure Omnihubs are strategically located to minimize delivery time and costs.

Market Analysis and Strategy Execution:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to understand trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that leverage market insights and provide a competitive edge.

Sales and Revenue Management:

  • Drive sales growth and optimize revenue by ensuring efficient distribution and fulfillment.
  • Focus on cash sales, avoiding credit sales to minimize risk and improve cash flow.

Communication and Value Proposition:

  • Utilize existing programs to communicate the company's value proposition to modern trade partners.
  • Ensure clear, consistent messaging that highlights the benefits of partnering with the company.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales and distribution professionals, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
