Role Overview:

We are seeking an Executive Head Chef with a sophisticated understanding of traditional South ern Nigerian cuisine (Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ogun, Oyo, Lagos and Delta states), complemented by expertise in continental, intercontinental, and breakfast cuisine, as well as a strong knowledge of coffee preparation. This unique role involves not only leading our culinary team but also collaborating with designers, builders, and management to establish our kitchen’s layout and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mastery of Southern Nigerian dishes and innovative breakfast offerings.

• Proficiency in preparing and pairing gourmet coffee with meals.

• Lead and inspire a high-performing kitchen team, upholding exceptional culinary standards.

• Design and develop creative, seasonal menus that reflect our culinary vision.

• Implement rigorous quality control and effective inventory management practices.

• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.

• Collaborate with the management team to structure a world-class kitchen environment and workflow.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field; Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.

• 5 – 10 years of experience in culinary leadership.

• Proven expertise in breakfast meals and coffee preparation.

• Exceptional creativity, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of diverse culinary techniques and cuisines.
