Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organisational goals and objectives, including revenue growth, cost management, and fan engagement.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the organisation's financial stability and growth.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, sponsors, and partners.
- Streamline business processes and operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance fan experience.
- Oversee the management of facilities, including stadiums, training grounds, and administrative offices.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organisation, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
- Lead and manage a team of business operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, sponsors, partners, government agencies, and football governing bodies.
- Ensure the organisation's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to finance, employment, and health and safety.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the organisation's financial and operational performance.
- Oversee the organisation's participation in leagues and competitions, including compliance with rules and regulations.
- Manage the registration and administration of players, including contracts, transfers, and disciplinary matters.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of matchday operations, including ticketing, hospitality, and event management.
- Develop and manage sponsorship and commercial partnerships to generate revenue and promote the organisation's brand.
Requirements:
- HND, BSc, MBA, MSc. in Business Management or relevant program
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in the same capacity and industry
- You must have proven work experience in the Football industry, sports or NGO
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Relevant management certifications are an added advantage
- Strong experience managing budgets and financial forecasts
- Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication, correspondence, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages- Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent knowledge of database management and information systems
- Must be able to manage internal and external stakeholders
