Head of Business Operations

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organisational goals and objectives, including revenue growth, cost management, and fan engagement.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the organisation's financial stability and growth.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, sponsors, and partners.
• Streamline business processes and operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance fan experience.
• Oversee the management of facilities, including stadiums, training grounds, and administrative offices.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organisation, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
• Lead and manage a team of business operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, sponsors, partners, government agencies, and football governing bodies.
• Ensure the organisation's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to finance, employment, and health and safety.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the organisation's financial and operational performance.
• Oversee the organisation's participation in leagues and competitions, including compliance with rules and regulations.
• Manage the registration and administration of players, including contracts, transfers, and disciplinary matters.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of matchday operations, including ticketing, hospitality, and event management.
• Develop and manage sponsorship and commercial partnerships to generate revenue and promote the organisation's brand.

Requirements:

• HND, BSc, MBA, MSc. in Business Management or relevant program
• 7+  years of relevant work experience in the same capacity and industry     
• You must have proven work experience in the Football industry, sports or  NGO
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
• Relevant management certifications are an added advantage
• Strong experience managing budgets and financial forecasts
• Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Effective communication, correspondence, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages- Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent knowledge of database management and information systems
• Must be able to manage internal and external stakeholders
