JOB TITLE: HEAD OF CORPORATE SERVICES
Role summary
The Head of Corporate Services for a development fund, who will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the Fund’s core support functions, including Finance and Accounts, Human Resources, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Administration, and Communications. This leader will ensure operational efficiency, financial integrity, and optimal support for the Fund’s mission of advancing agricultural development in Nigeria. The ideal candidate should bring both technical expertise and very strong interpersonal skills to lead and inspire cross-functional teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Oversight of Support Services
Provide strategic leadership across HR, ICT, Administration, and Communications to ensure that all support functions align with the Fund’s goals.
Lead and motivate department heads to drive efficiency, compliance, and collaborative work practices across support functions.
Financial Management and Treasury
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and integrity.
Ensure the availability of funds to meet both short- and long-term financial requirements, including managing cash flow for optimal financial stability.
Develop a balanced budget, allocating resources effectively for operational expenses.
Collaborate with the Investments team to align financial resources with the Fund’s investment and strategic goals.
Human Resources and Talent Management
Oversee HR functions to attract, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a growth-oriented and supportive workplace culture.
Develop and implement HR policies and programs that promote employee engagement, career development, and compliance with relevant labour laws.
Administration and ICT
Ensure that administrative and ICT operations run efficiently, supporting the organization’s objectives with appropriate infrastructure and technology.
Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, collaboration, and information security across the Fund.
Communications and Public Relations
Collaborate with Communications to promote the Fund’s mission, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and enhancing public awareness of its impact in agriculture.
Develop and oversee internal communication strategies to keep all staff aligned with the organization’s goals and values.

Direct Reports: Finance, Accounts, Treasury, HR, ICT, Administration, Communications
Qualifications
Should Have
Experience: Minimum of 15 years in corporate services, finance, or related roles, with at least 5 years managing the finance functions of a similar-sized organization.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading and developing cross-functional teams, with a strong ability to motivate, coach, and drive collaboration across departments.
Financial Expertise: Advanced degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or chartered status preferred), with deep knowledge of financial management and cash flow optimization.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance short-term operational demands with long-term strategic goals, ensuring sustainable growth and resource management.
Administrative and Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience overseeing administrative functions, with strong organizational and project management capabilities.
