Compensation – Base Pay ranges BTW N1,000,000.00 – N1,300,000.00 monthly (Slightly negotiable) plus other interesting benefits
About Company: Our client is one of the fast-growing Financial Technology companies in Nigeria.
Job Objective: The Company is seeking to hire an experienced Head of finance that will manage its growing Finance Team and work with the CEO to achieve the business financial goals. S/he will play a strategic role in the overall management of the company’s financial health and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Budgetary Preparation/ Management:
- Coordinate the preparation process of the annual budget of the company and track actual vs budget.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify specific trends, explain past performance and recommend opportunities for improvement, within the company.
- Analyze budget implications for the company and advise management.
- Participate in decision-making and its implementation in the company budget.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.
- Responsible for a broad range of financial activities, including: Reading and understanding financial statements, creating and analyzing reports, evaluating progress toward goals, Mapping out future goals and plans, and Advising management on growth strategies.
- Use data gathering, financial forecasting, and analysis of “what-if” scenarios to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
General Ledger Analysis:
- Provide actionable insights and comprehensive risk assessments across all transactional data, improving decision-making, resource allocation, and business outcomes.
- Identify hidden risks, fraud, and compliance issues using advanced algorithms, ensuring thorough and accurate financial oversight.
- Ensuring that the general ledger is accurate and up-to-date.
- Responsible for presenting and reporting accurate and timely financial information.
- Ensuring that all accounting activities comply with regulations.
- Responsible for crafting financial strategies and assessing risk in investments
Forecast and Rolling estimate:
- Responsible for keeping a pulse on all aspects of the organization including financial and operational performance thereby ensuring agility, collaboration, alignment and a focus on what drives the organization.
Scope of other key duties include:
- Monthly Management Reporting
- Working closely with External Auditors
- Tracking finance and operations daily activities
- Managing investor relations
- Business Model Review and Analysis
- Budget Control
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in consulting and asset management/investment firm. Big 4 experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, and/or ACA, ACCA certification is required
- Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel (financial modeling and forecasting)
- Excellent knowledge and experience of accounting, controls, tax, and compliance.
- Expertise in negotiating legal & contractual agreements for suppliers, partners, and clients
- Attention to detail and hands-on in your approach to leadership
- Fast learner, tech-savvy and process-oriented
- Solid Analytical and decision-making skills.
