Job Title: Head of Operations

Location: Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site (5 days a week)

Salary: Base pay of 700,000 Naira per month, with an additional allowance of up to 100,000 Naira for travel and expenses.

The Sumi Group is a forward-thinking organization focused on dynamic and innovative marketing solutions. We are looking for a Head of Operations to oversee our office in Lekki, coordinate all operational aspects of our projects, and ensure that the team achieves its full potential.


Role Summary:

As the Head of Operations, you will lead a team of marketing specialists, including a 7 member marketing team, one Asst, Operations manager and oversee all daily operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations in the UK and the board, you will be responsible for coordinating resources, setting schedules, and maintaining smooth office functionality for the Sumi Group. This is an on-site, full-time role that requires strong organizational and leadership skills to drive successful outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all daily operations and projects, coordinating timelines, resource allocation, and task completion to ensure a seamless workflow.
  • Office Management: Maintain efficient office operations, including facilities and administrative duties, to support a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Manage scheduling for various marketing projects, including time on set and other crucial timelines.
  • Reporting & Communication: Regularly report to the Head of Operations in the UK and the board, providing updates on operational performance and project progress.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and manage allocated budgets for projects, travel, and other expenses, ensuring all operations stay within financial guidelines.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations or team management role, ideally within a marketing or creative industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and driving operational success.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with international stakeholders and local team members.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage schedules, deadlines, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be based in Lekki or willing to commute, as this is a full-time on-site position.


Timeline:


  • Pre-Screening: Begins the third week of November.
  • Interviews: Scheduled for the first week of December 2024.
  • Contract Duration: March 2025 - March 2026
