Head Teacher

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management

• Develop and implement the school’s vision, mission, and strategic plans.
• Provide strong leadership to teachers, staff, and students.
• Ensure compliance with national education policies and regulations.

Teaching & Learning 

• Oversee curriculum development and teaching strategies.
• Monitor student progress and implement improvement plans.
• Promote inclusive and high-quality education for all students.

Staff Management & Development

• Recruit, train, and support teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and professional development programs.
• Foster a collaborative and motivated school culture.

Student Welfare & Discipline

• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Address student behavior, welfare, and pastoral care.
• Promote equal opportunities and inclusivity.

School Administration & Financial Management 

• Manage the school budget and allocate resources effectively.
• Oversee school infrastructure, safety, and facilities.
• Maintain good relationships with the school board, parents, and the community.

Parental & Community Engagement

• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
• Build partnerships with local organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of NCE certificate is required
• At least 3 years of experience in the education sector
• Should be able to use modern day teaching/learning resources effectively as well as demonstrate a high people skill.
