Job Responsibilities
Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and component installations on AW139 helicopter airframes and systems. This role includes inspecting, troubleshooting, and assembling parts to ensure optimal functionality and safety. The Helicopter Fitter works closely with aviation engineers and technicians to maintain high standards of operational readiness, with detailed attention to safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting Engineers completing maintenance checks, troubleshooting malfunctions, logging inspections and repairs, refueling, towing of aircraft and organizing equipment and supplies. The aircraft fitter will complete tasks within allotted time frames and to the strict safety regulations of the NCAA regulatory requirements and client requirements. Must be a problem solver, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about aircraft systems and parts, preferably on the AW 139 Helicopter.
Skills and Qualifications
- Analytical mind with a penchant for troubleshooting
- Basic NCAA License or Approved and valid Fitter course.
- Completion of a recognized Engineering apprenticeship or a relevant higher education qualification
- Detail-oriented with a passion for mechanics
- Manual dexterity and physical strength
- Extensive experience with power and hand tools, and knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanics, and parts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an aircraft fitter (or similar role)
