History Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
• Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments e.t.c
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events.
• Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse, etc.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences e.t.c
• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Proven experience as a history teacher or in a related teaching role.
• Excellent knowledge of historical events, periods, and cultures.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to present complex information in an engaging and comprehensible manner.
• Proficiency in using visual/audio tools and modern teaching technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring students to appreciate history.
