Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Provide strategic advice to leadership on organizational development and workforce planning.
- Lead and manage the HR team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Build and maintain a strong, collaborative, and productive HR team culture.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent management processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Design strategies for employee engagement and retention, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
- Develop and oversee performance management systems, including appraisals, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms.
- Provide coaching and training to managers and employees to enhance performance.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with labor laws and organizational goals.
- Keep abreast of changes in labor legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
- Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Identify and address skills gaps within the organization.
- Manage compensation structures and benefit programs to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Act as a point of contact for employee issues, resolving conflicts, and fostering a harmonious workplace.
- Conduct investigations when necessary and ensure proper disciplinary procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI).
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of creating impactful HR strategies and managing successful teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
