- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Duties and Responsibilities
· Human Resources planning and evaluation.
· Act as a link between Management and staff and keep management abreast of matters handled by the Department.
· Design and conduct new employee orientations/induction.
· Administer and explain benefits to employees and serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
· Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
· Recommend, develop, and schedule training and development.
· Responsible for staff scheduling which includes work assignments/rotation, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
· Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
· Objective assessment, record, and communication.
· Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
· Recommend, develop, and maintain human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
· Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
· Analyze and document HR processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
· Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures and implement disciplinary and reward policies.
· Work with union representatives to resolve labour relations issues.
· Ensure compliance with labour rules and regulations for staff.
· General office administration.
· Maintain and update staff data bank.
· Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and evaluation systems.
· Maintain and protect the corporate image of the organization at all times.
· Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Required Qualification
· Minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position.
· A minimum of B.Sc., HND or its equivalent, and member of a professional body.
· Between the age of 30 – 55.
· Available to travel when required.
Working Hours
· 8 am – 5 pm (Monday – Friday)
