HSE Officer

Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing, and managing HSE policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
• Identifying potential hazards and risks through detailed risk assessments and implementing control measures.
• Conducting safety training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of safety.
• Investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses and providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Ensuring compliance with all local and international HSE regulations, codes, and standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incident reports, and corrective actions.
• Collaborating with management and employees to continuously improve safety and environmental practices.
• Monitoring environmental impacts and ensuring waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices are followed.
• Reporting HSE performance metrics and providing recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an HND  in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in an HSE management role, ideally within a high-risk industry.
• Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to conduct training, perform audits, and generate reports.
• Proficiency in conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of environmental sustainability practices.
