Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to oversee the HR functions of our fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a bank or financial institution, with strong expertise in managing people, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving organizational efficiency. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in recruiting top talent, developing staff, fostering a positive work environment, and maintaining high standards of HR practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for various restaurant roles, including chefs, servers, kitchen staff, and managers.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting and candidate screening to interviews and offer negotiations.
- Lead the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the restaurant's culture and operations.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and ensuring open communication between staff and management.
- Serve as a mediator in conflict resolution and handle grievances according to company policy and legal guidelines.
- Build strong relationships with employees to boost morale, improve retention, and enhance overall performance.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs across the restaurant and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills, customer service standards, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee leadership development initiatives to groom employees for higher roles within the organization.
Performance Management:
- Manage performance review cycles, ensuring timely and constructive feedback is provided to employees.
- Work closely with department heads to identify areas for improvement and design tailored performance improvement plans.
HR Policies and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with local labor laws and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety regulations, employee rights, and wage laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and handle HR audits as required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Design and manage the compensation structure to ensure competitive and fair remuneration across all roles.
- Administer employee benefits, including healthcare, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Workforce Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate with management to forecast staffing needs, ensuring the restaurant is adequately staffed during peak periods while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Conduct HR metrics analysis and reporting to track employee turnover, satisfaction, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, with at least 2 years in a financial institution such as a bank (mandatory).
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
- Experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
