Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Officer at ACCELERATE in Lagos. The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for HR management, developing HR policies, managing employee relations, and creating job descriptions.
● Ensuring the adherence of the company’s policies within the various business units.
● Develop programs that support employee engagement and relations.
● Assist in the correct computation of employee monthly statutory deductions.
● Manage Health Benefit Scheme
● Assist general employee recruitment and on-boarding processes.
● Managing training and development schedules.
● Assist in all appraisal and evaluation processes.
● Handle daily employee welfare matters.
● Ensure that all necessary admin operations report is documented and escalated as necessary.
● Manage the Office Assistant to ensure organized the flow of guests (clients and business visitors) in the office.
● Assists with general personnel matters including logistics for employment clearance for new staff i.e. medical checks, reference checks etc
● Ensure timely dispatch of all correspondence.
● Oversee secretarial support to the management.
● Work with the team to conduct employee and client surveys and other types of research to gauge the overall level of satisfaction and address areas of concern.
● Manage the maintenance of the office space /equipment and prepare monthly maintenance schedules
● Ensure all areas in the office are kept clean and tidy by supervising the Office Assistant
● Build and maintain profiles for existing and new vendors.
● Monitor and track Inventory for Housekeeping Items, Stationary and Consumable.
● Ensure timely and adequate communication with facility managers
● Supervise Team Engagement and Bonding activities.
● Ensure that petty cash vouchers are properly completed for all monies collected and the petty cash summary sheet is updated daily.
Supervision of the Office Assistant on daily tasks.
Qualifications
- HR Management, HR Policies, and Human Resources (HR) skills
- Experience in Employee Relations and Job Description Development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Knowledge of Nigerian/African labor laws is a plus
- Professional Certification is an added advantage
