Our team is looking for an experienced Office Support Specialist with a strong HR Generalist background. This role will primarily focus on student onboarding and management while also playing a critical role in candidate resume vetting and interviewing for remoting.work.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is a seasoned administrative professional who goes beyond basic support tasks. They act as a trusted partner, strategically assisting in student and workforce development. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and HR-related skills to manage student engagement, offshore recruitment, and operational tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Student Onboarding & Management
- Oversee Financial Aid processes and conduct virtual Financial Aid Presentations
- Facilitate student registration and onboarding
- Serve as Class Start Coordinator and send Acceptance Letters
- Track and update student grades and attendance on a weekly basis
- Conduct Weekly SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) Meetings
- Communicate SAP updates to students via email, Teams messages, and general announcements
- Act as a Student Concierge & International Student Liaison
- Manage International Student Recruiters and state partnerships
- Monitor and report on student placement rates and monthly progress
Recruiting & HR Support
- Vet candidate resumes and conduct interviews for remoting.work
- Oversee onboarding for offshore employees, including orientation and training execution
- Create and manage New Hire Training Agendas
- Draft and send Offer Letters for offshore employees
- Conduct training for Verity System and new hires
- Track and calculate KPIs, recommending Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or Recognitions & Rewards (R&R) as needed
- Send out weekly KPI reports
Administrative & Operations Support
- Manage department operations, including maintaining key reports and documentation
- Organize daily check-in meetings for offshore recruiters
- Create and manage Microsoft Forms & responses
- Maintain Bookings pages and meeting schedules
- Ensure all meetings are held and properly documented
- Update and manage assigned spreadsheets
- Post jobs and schedule interviews through CareerBuilder, assigning logins to recruiters
- Support Accounts Payable and Payroll processing for offshore employees
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
- Help update and administer company handbook.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant, HR generalist, or related role
- Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask
- Experience working with executives in a virtual capacity
- Familiarity with task management tools and remote collaboration apps
