HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. They ensure optimal indoor air quality and climate control, following company protocols and safety guidelines. This role requires a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heaters, and

ventilation systems.

·        Ensure systems operate efficiently and meet regulatory standards.

·        Clean and replace filters, check refrigerant levels, and calibrate systems.

·        Diagnose system malfunctions and provide solutions.

·        Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.

·        Test system performance using various testing equipment.

·        Communicate with clients about system issues, service schedules, and recommended upgrades.

·        Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction.

·        Explain repairs and operational issues to customers in simple terms.

·        Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and client communications.

·        Comply with local HVAC codes, building standards, and safety regulations.

·        Handle refrigerants per EPA regulations and ensure environmental safety.

·        Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks of accidents and injuries.

·        Maintain clean, organized workspaces and handle tools responsibly.

·        Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications and Skills:

·        OND, SSCE Test trade, or equivalent.

·        Technical certification in HVAC or a related field is preferred.

·        Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.

·        EPA certification (Type I & II or Universal) preferred; other state-specific HVAC licensing as required.

·        Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and best practices.

·        Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.

·        Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.

·        Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
