In-House Counsel

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on a broad range of corporate matters, including compliance, regulatory issues, and contract negotiation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and minimizing potential risks
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure legal compliance in business operations and maintain a risk-aware culture
• conduct legal research and keep the company updated on new laws and regulations affecting the business
• Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee their performance as needed.
• provide training to staff on Legal topics, compliance, and regulatory obligations to support the company's policies.

Requirements:

• This position is open preferably to a Male candidate
• Bachelor's Degree Holder in Law
• Must be called to the Nigerian bar
• Minimum of 2 years experience in any of the above-listed areas
• Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written) and be highly independent in the execution of instructions.
• Proximity to Island/Ajah is important
