The ICT officer will play a key role in the service delivery of the organization. You will be responsible for the smooth management of the computer systems and networks of the organization, providing effective and efficient support on day-to-day basis, installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems.
Job Description
- Plan network upgrades, expansions, and replacements by overseeing their systematic needs assessment, specification, and budgeting.
- Participate in the procurement processes of ICT equipment.
- Provide software and system troubleshooting and update operating systems and user applications.
- Track license and support contracts to include notification of renewal timeframe to management.
- Monitor the network to ensure network functionality and availability to all system users.
- Request and set up new user accounts and email.
- Train new and current employees in computer software and ICT systems.
- Ensure that network access privileges, applications, data storage, and regular backups are configured and maintained.
- Implement and update data disaster recovery plan (backup).
- Schedule computer-related services, maintenance, and license renewals.
- Ensure installation and maintenance of protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with a minimum of 3-5 years proven experience as an ICT Officer or any relevant certification
- Understanding of software and hardware technologies along with an understanding of networking technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
- Intermediate understanding of network architecture concepts (Routing, VLANS, DHCP/DNS, Common protocols).
- Familiarity with administering cloud-based services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and non-technical users.
- Multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
