Overall Purpose
To drive sales and expand the business footprint in Nigeria. This role involves developing and executing a strategic sales plan to attract new clients, manage existing relationships, and enhance brand visibility. The role requires a deep understanding of the local market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1 Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base in Nigeria.
2 Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets.
3 Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
4 Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
5 Manage and optimize the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure.
6 Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that drive brand awareness and generate leads.
7 Present business proposals and sales pitches to potential clients and partners.
8 Lead negotiations and contract discussions with prospective clients.
9 Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to the Head of Business Development & Marketing.
10 Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous engagement and addressing client needs
11 Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and build new relationships.
12 Oversee the onboarding process of new clients and ensure a smooth transition to the account management team. 13 Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s services and value propositions.
14 Provide insights and recommendations to improve products and services based on client feedback and market trends.
15 Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Person Specification e.g. competencies, knowledge, experience required
1. A Master’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years relevant work experience required.
2. Minimum of five years working experience in an HR/ HR Consulting firm.
3. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA.
4. Must be a member of the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria (NIMN) or Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPM).
5. Must have good knowledge of the Nigerian labor law, BPO, sales, networking, business management and business development, customer service, reporting and presentation, emotional intelligence, leadership, and research.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
