Arbiterz Media profiles Nigerians creating livelihoods and building businesses and analyses the economic and political ideas that shape the opportunities and constraints they encounter. Our ambition is to write about business and the economy unearthing deep insights while creating content that is relatable and easy to understand by any reader who can read English. We seek to carve a niche as a high-quality business publication in the Nigerian media space, marked by reportage that goes beyond rehashing press releases and seeks to inform readers about the real issues behind the press release. This is coupled with high-profile business interviews and profiles that appeal to a broader audience.



Role Overview:

As an Intern Journalist, you will support our editorial team by assisting with research, writing, and reporting tasks. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, including news stories, feature articles, and multimedia content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and Reporting: Assist in researching and gathering information for news stories and feature articles. Conduct interviews, review documents, and verify data to ensure accuracy.
• Writing and Editing: Draft articles, news stories, and other written content under the guidance. Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Content Creation: Support the creation of multimedia content, including images, videos, and social media posts. Assist with content updates and management on the company’s website and social media platforms.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Editor and other team members to contribute to brainstorming sessions, editorial meetings, and project planning.

Qualifications:

A first degree in Economics is preferred, or a STRONG degree in the Humanities.
