Internal Audit and Control Officer

Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, and evaluate potential risks to the organization. 
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and controls. 
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk management processes
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls. 
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and policies
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls. 
• Prepare reports and recommendations based on audit findings. 
• Ensure that duties are segregated to prevent fraud and errors. 
• Review employees' security roles to ensure segregation of duties
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures. 
• Ensure that policies and procedures are communicated and followed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in internal audit, internal control, risk management, or related fields, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, audit methodologies, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, internal audits, and control testing procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
