Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts to verify stock levels against system records, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
  • Perform cycle counts on high-value items to maintain accurate inventory data.
  • Monitor stock levels and generate purchase orders to replenish inventory based on sales trends and demand forecasting.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of delicate luxury items, including appropriate packaging and display.
  • Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders for accuracy, including quantity, quality, and condition.
  • Inspect the merchandise for damage or defects upon receipt, reporting any issues to relevant parties.
  • Accurately enter inventory details into the POS system, including size, color, and style variations.
  • Assist sales associates with product inquiries, locating specific items on the sales floor, and providing detailed information about merchandise.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and address potential stock issues that could impact sales.
  • Monitor and report on slow-selling items to support inventory management strategies.
  • Generate detailed inventory reports on stock levels, sales trends, and potential stock discrepancies.
  • Analyze sales data to identify best-selling items and optimize inventory allocation.
  • Monitor stock turnover rates and identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency.
  • Adhere to strict security protocols for handling valuable luxury merchandise, including proper tagging and monitoring of inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements and transactions.
  • Comply with company policies regarding inventory management and reporting procedures.


Requirements:

  • BSc/ HND in Accounting, statistics, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an Inventory Management in a luxury retail fashion store
  • Certification in supply chain management is an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent mathematical skills for inventory calculations and analysis.
  • Proven experience in inventory management within a retail environment, ideally with luxury fashion experience.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with sales associates and management
