Assistant Inventory Officer

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and manage procedures to optimize inventory control.
• Receive, count, and verify incoming orders.
• Identify shortages and act in a timely manner.
• Oversee daily operations and identify bottlenecks.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying products and quantities.
• Process and document returns as required following established procedures
• Process damaged or defective stock.
• Provide support to operations regarding inventory issues.
• Audit of inventory by coordinating with internal and external teams.
• Implement loss prevention programs to prevent theft.
• Suggest solutions for continuous improvement.
• Check routine inventory costs.
• Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards.
• Estimate and establish budgets for purchases.
• Periodically review all vendors and suppliers.
• Establish measured daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs through reports.
• Ensure that all inventory data are recorded manually/electronically on the computer.
• Maintaining control of all inventory items purchased and produced.
• Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft.
• Ensure that all products have labels/barcodes.
• Obtain estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
• Participate in periodic stocktaking exercise scheduled by the management
• Monitor all sales takings (Cash, FT and POS)

Requirements:

• Minimum of OND
• No experience required
