Job Summary

Our client is a fast growing brand in the retail sector seeking for an experienced, detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Officer to manage the inventory operations, ensuring adequate stock, and minimize expired and obsolete inventory, thereby maintaining the standards of excellence.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and tracking inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Performing regular stock audits and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Coordinating with suppliers to manage orders and deliveries.
  • Organizing and maintaining the inventory storage areas.
  • Assisting with the implementation of inventory management systems.
  • Generating reports and analyzing inventory data to optimize stock levels.
  • Collaborating with store staff to ensure accurate product placement and availability.
  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages
  • Analyze inventory data and conduct regular assessments to identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Record daily deliveries to reconcile inventory
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
  • Collaborate with suppliers and ensure delivery of goods
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues as it concern delivery, pricing, and delivery
  • Generate inventory reports detailing stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory aging


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in inventory management or a related field are a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management or a related role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
