Role Description
The Investment Professional will play a senior role within the Investment Team, focusing on deal origination, overseeing financial analysis, and supporting portfolio management. This individual will drive the evaluation of new investments, lead due diligence and deal execution, and support portfolio companies in enhancing performance and growth. Will also supervise junior team members, ensuring high standards of work across all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Origination and Execution
Identify and assess high-potential investment opportunities
(a) Lead the preparation and review of financial models, valuation analyses, and investment memos for new opportunitiess
(b) Present findings and recommendations to senior management, supporting strategic investment decision
(c) Mentor junior team members in transaction support, ensuring quality and accuracy
Portfolio Management
Drive sustainable growth and improve financial health across portfolio companies
(a) Analyze competitive positioning, collaborate with management and provide insights on performance improvements
(b) Maintain up-to-date investment models, monitor key metrics, and report on portfolio performance
(c) Coordinate monthly performance reviews for each portfolio company and track progress on key initiatives
Strategic Development and Leadership
Contribute to strategic planning and guide portfolio company growth initiatives
(a) Participate in strategy development for UAC and portfolio companies, supporting management teams with growth and operational improvement initiatives
(b) Support in annual strategy review sessions with portfolio companies
Operational and Financial Reporting
Ensure accuracy and reliability in financial and operational reporting for decision-making
(a) Establish a performance dashboard for monitoring key portfolio met
(b) Working with Finance, improve financial and operational reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Competencies and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
- Experience: 6-9 years in private equity, investment banking, and financial advisory with expertise in deal origination, transaction execution, and portfolio management
- Strategic Thinking and Analytical Excellence: Ability to connect market insights with strategic planning; advanced skills in financial modelling, valuation, and analysis.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, promoting a high-performance culture.
- Results-driven and Initiative-Oriented: High energy and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and executing growth opportunities.
