Position Summary

We are looking for five (5) dedicated and skilled IT Interns to contribute to our web development, design, and technology projects. Interns must possess strong technical expertise in full stack development, front-end or back-end development, with specific skills in web development and design using WordPress and other innovative technologies. The selected candidates will work remotely, full-time, in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting WIEMO’s mission through hands-on projects and assignments. Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance and commitment may be considered for full employment upon the completion of the internship.

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop and maintain high-quality web applications, with an emphasis on functionality, usability, and design.

·       Collaborate closely with team members to plan, design, and implement innovative web-based projects.

·       Use WordPress and other web development technologies to build responsive and user-friendly websites.

·       Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for all projects.

·       Optimize web applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.

·       Provide support in documentation, training, and maintenance of new applications and systems.

·       Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in web development.

Eligibility and Requirements

To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Education: Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Graduates of IT programs with practical experience are also encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills: Must be highly proficient in:

·       Web development, particularly using WordPress and other advanced development platforms.

·       Full Stack Development, Front-end Development, or Back-end Development.

·       HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.

·       Server-side technologies (e.g., Node.js, Django, Ruby on Rails) for back-end development.

·       Database management, with experience in SQL or NoSQL databases.

Hardware: Must have access to a reliable laptop suitable for development work.

Availability: Must be available to work full-time remotely for the entire 12-month duration.
