IT Support Officer & Robotics/Coding Instructor

Responsibilities:

IT Support & Infrastructure Management:

• Provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff for hardware, software, network, and classroom technology issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot computer systems, internet connectivity, printers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the school’s IT systems, including data backup and cybersecurity measures.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and security protocols.
• Manage email accounts, school databases, learning management systems (LMS), and cloud platforms.
• Support the implementation of new educational technologies and provide training for staff as needed.

Robotics & Coding Instruction:

• Develop and deliver engaging coding and robotics lessons to students using platforms such as Scratch, Python, Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, and other STEM tools.
• Teach fundamental computer science concepts, problem-solving, and logical thinking through hands-on projects.
• Guide students in robotics competitions, hackathons, and coding challenges.
• Foster an innovative learning environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking.
• Stay updated with the latest STEM education trends and recommend new technologies or teaching methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT support, network administration, or system troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, Scratch, C++, etc.) and robotics kits (LEGO, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
• Experience in STEM education, teaching, or mentoring students in technology-related subjects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and educational software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a passion for technology and education.
