Job Vacancy: Junior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) factory located in Ibeju Lekki, near Dangote Refinery. This position comes with a rewarding career opportunity in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos

Salary: N250,000 - N300,000 (Net)

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on some (not necessarily all) the critical plant equipment listed below:
• Boilers
• Chillers
• Compressors
• Diesel Generators
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operations.
• Maintenance Planning: Develop and execute maintenance schedules, maintain records of performed maintenance, and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
• Team Support and Leadership: Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to oversee and support technicians, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the maintenance team.
• Documentation: Proficiency in the use of computer systems and general purpose applications like Spreadsheets.

Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge in some or all of the following areas:
• General maintenance of boilers, chillers, compressors, and diesel generators.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintenance planning and record-keeping.
• Willingness to work in a factory located in Ibeju Lekki, near Dangote Refinery.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Soft Skills (Preferred):

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
