Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Researching, documenting, implementing, and managing software products;
- Testing and evaluating new products while creating product requirement documents;
- Identifying areas for modification in existing products and subsequently developing these modifications;
- Working with the Technology Team Lead to define product roadmap and vision, and execute strategies to achieve business goals;
- Defining functional specifications of the product(s) and managing the cross-function group of people that would work on the project including engineers, designers, business development, sales, and marketing;
- Identify opportunities based on market needs, competition, and user requirements;
- Provide assistance to engineers and designers when needed;
- Work alongside the Technology Team Lead in managing and implementing sales and marketing targeted at users' activities through research, strategic planning, and implementation;
- Deploy software designs, tools, processes, and metrics;
- Maintaining and upgrading existing systems based on fixes required;
- Determine the root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions;
- Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages, evaluate and make recommendations as necessary;
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, staffing, and delegation of project/product tasks;
- Oversee skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities as assigned;
- Determine process improvements, and best practices, and develop new processes;
- Work in close partnership with Team Leads, cross-functional teams, and management;
- Reporting progress on projects to management using status meetings and other communication tools;
- Training users on how to use new and existing products;
- Other relevant duties as may arise and may be assigned to the employee.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree holder
- Proven work experience in product management
- Verbal & Written Communications Skills
- Documentation and presentation skills
- Ability to manage all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Research and analytical skills
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Prioritization and time management skills.
