Job Summary
The Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist senior colleagues with cost control, BOQ preparation, cost management, cost planning, cost reporting and monitoring on construction projects. They will work closely with project teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost efficiency to deliver projects within cost envelopes.
- Minimum Qualification : HND

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets (material & labour), cash flow projections, and other project administration documents as required.
- Assist in generating material and procurement schedules for various projects.
- Visit project sites regularly to observe and monitor the progress of work, and ensure execution in line with the approved bill of quantities and internal budget.
- Monitor closely variations and additional works, and ensure cost approval before execution on site.
- Scrutinize and certify progress claims from subcontractors and make necessary payment recommendations.
- Assist in preparing project financial reports for management or clients when required.
- Review status reports and work projections prepared by project site managers and modify schedules or plans as required.
- Work with a high level of competence, versatility, and integrity towards the profitability of the company on any project embarked upon.
- Carry out other assigned tasks from time to time
Requirements:
- 3 years of cognate experience
- Minimum of HND
