Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:

• Receiving, labeling, and safely storing samples to be tested
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
• Perform laboratory tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
• Maintain laboratory equipment, including re-calibration of equipment
• Analyze test results and record findings in a precise and accurate manner
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve laboratory processes and procedures
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and the integrity of the samples.
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
• Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and processes
• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

• Good Oral and Written communication
• Good documentation and process management skills
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
• At least 2+ years experience working in a laboratory environment.
