Responsibilities:
Survey Planning and Execution:
- Conduct land surveys and measurements using specialized tools and equipment, such as GPS, theodolites, and drones.
- Establish legal property boundaries and create detailed maps or plans.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect field data and perform calculations related to distances, angles, and elevations.
- Analyze and interpret survey data to prepare accurate reports and documentation.
Mapping and Design:
- Prepare topographical maps, boundary surveys, and other necessary charts and drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to incorporate survey results into project designs.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of survey data and project documentation.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate findings and provide technical advice to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve discrepancies and address issues arising during projects.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all tools are in good working condition for accurate measurements.
Requirements:
- Degree in a related field
- 7 years of cognate experience
