Laundryman

Responsibilities:

• Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment to clean and maintain clothing and linens.
• Sort, load, and unload laundry items for cleaning and drying.
• Follow specific instructions for different fabric types to avoid damage during washing and drying processes.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and spot-treat stains where necessary.
• Iron, press, fold, and package items according to required standards.
• Keep track of items and ensure proper organization of clean laundry.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laundry equipment.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols in the workplace.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Report any malfunctions or issues with laundry equipment to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a laundryman or in a similar role
• Familiarity with laundry equipment, detergents, and fabric care is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
