Job Summary
The Lead Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer provides I&C engineering expertise and experience input into the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the company’s Plant and related works. The role involves leading I&C engineers and technicians to ensure that the equipment, systems, and processes operate effectively, efficiently, and safely throughout the lifecycle of the company’s Gas Plant. The role will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant by optimizing process control, improving plant performance, and minimizing downtime. Additionally, the Job holder is responsible for the delivery of world-class performance and leadership to the I&C engineering functions along with supporting stakeholders to ensure engineering service competencies equal expectations and business challenges.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term I&C strategies aligned with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies to enhance plant efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
- Provide I&C leadership throughout all project phases, from design and construction to commissioning and operation.
- Ensure I&C design integrity by reviewing drawings, specifications, and contractor work, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.
- Develop and optimize control systems by designing, modifying, and testing control logic to achieve desired performance and reliability.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and capital project assessments for I&C improvements.
- Monitor compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Requirements:
- First degree or equivalent in Engineering Degree (Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation) or European Equivalent (HND/C – BTEC Cert)
- Minimum 12 years experience in Instrumentation and Controls design, engineering, and construction projects in the oil and gas industry-specific experience with complex instrumentation and control systems.
- At least 5 years in a senior role overseeing project design and onsite commissioning of plants
- Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS systems, control valves, instrumentation, and field devices.
- Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety assessments.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as HMI/SCADA, engineering software, and data analysis tools.
