Key Responsibilities:

·Develop, scope, initiate and manage projects across PESO’s upstream oilfield services and midstream gas processing businesses.

·Lead, manage, and provide oversight support for multiple projects within the oil and gas sector.

·Collaborate with your Line Manager and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement project strategies that align with company objectives.

·Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and operations to ensure seamless project execution.

·Oversee project budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.

·Act as the primary point of contact as required for external stakeholders including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.

·Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered safely and on schedule.

·Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental protocols.

·Provide leadership and mentorship to project engineers, other project execution teams, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

·Conduct regular project reviews, tracking progress against milestones, and reporting to your Line Manager and Senior Leadership Team as required.

·Drive innovation and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage.

·Monitor the use of tools, equipment, and materials to prevent wastage and control costs.

·Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.

·Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and readily available for audit or review.

·Provide guidance and support to project execution team and site workers, promoting teamwork and productivity.

·Conduct regular briefings to keep the project execution team informed of project goals and expectations.

·Oversee the implementation of quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of work.

·Inspect work regularly to ensure that it meets specifications and standards.

·Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among workers and particularly, the projects execution team.

·Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry standards, and government regulations.

·Conduct regular safety meetings and on-site inspections to identify potential hazards.

·Resolve conflicts and address personnel issues as they arise.

·Ensure project control measures are in place to address potential issues of non-compliance and poor performance.


Qualification:

 ·Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, petroleum, chemical, or related field) or project management. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

·10+ years of engineering/project/program management experience in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

·Applicable COREN license and/or NSE membership is a plus.

·Proven track record of managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in the oil and gas sector.

·PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent globally accepted project management certification required.

·Strong technical knowledge of oil and gas processes and engineering principles.

·Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to the industry.

·Proficiency in utilising computer applications, software, and tools relevant to project and engineering management.

·Solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices; NEBOSH or OSHA certifications are preferred where applicable.

·Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

·Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.

·Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
