Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Leather Bags & Shoe Designer at dejiandkola in Lekki. The designer will be responsible for creating technical drawings, product design, industrial design, mood boards, and product development on a daily basis.

Translate ideas into sketches of new shoes and bags.

Partner with production unit throughout the entire creative journey, from development to the first sample. Prepare detailed, production-ready descriptions for sketches and coordinate with artisans to ensure a flawless final product.

Build and nurture strong relationships with production partners.

What We’re Looking For

Technical knowledge and experience: A deep understanding of production processes and practical experience in the development of leather goods (shoes, handbags).

Material sourcing skills: A sharp eye for premium fabrics and the ability to manage orders with precision.

Visionary mindset: Capable of overseeing the entire design cycle, from concept to prototype.

Qualifications

• Technical Drawing and Product Design skills
• 2-5 previous working experience in this field.
• Have a strong understanding of type of leather and how each can be deployed into production process
• Industrial Design and Mood Boards creation abilities
• Product Development expertise
• Attention to detail and creativity
• Experience in the fashion industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or related field, Self thought individual with real life experience will also be considered for this role.
• Proficient Computer skills on Apple Mac or PC (Adobe Illustrator, Photo Shop, , Power Point, CAD)
