Literacy Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Teach literacy effectively, focusing on the rudiments of the English language, including reading, writing, phonics, and comprehension.
• Use modern teaching aids, online resources, and interactive methods to engage pupils and enhance learning outcomes.
• Foster a motivating learning environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and progress.
• Ensuring the motivation of the pupils
• Plan lessons and activities in alignment with the British curriculum and ensure the achievement of learning goals.
• Engage in personal research and professional development to stay updated with educational best practices.
• Deliver assigned tasks related to the overall operations of the organization, ensuring high standards of teaching and administration.
• Provide targeted support to young learners, focusing on early childhood literacy when required.

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively via written and spoken English.
• Ability to teach Literacy effectively
• Must be able to teach using modern teaching aids, and online resources.
• Must be adept at teaching the rudiments of the English language.
• Must be able to learn fast, given to personal research and development, and able to work without supervision.
• Must be a goal-getter and able to deliver on assigned tasks related tothe  overall operations of the organisation.
• Minimum academic qualification of a bachelor's degree B ED English, Linguistics or BA English.
• Education qualification and member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an added advantage.
• An in-depth knowledge of the British curriculum.
• A minimum of 4 years experience teaching Literacy.
• Early Childhood Education will be a bonus.
