Job Summary
We are hiring for Machinists who has strong understanding of machinery and woodworking processes and responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of machines such as CNC routers, lathes, saws, and sanders to cut, shape, and assemble furniture components according to specific design requirements.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements and dimensions for furniture components.
- Set up and operate a range of machining equipment, including CNC (Computer Numerical Control) routers, Edge banding and saws, to fabricate wooden parts and components.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each machining operation, ensuring proper alignment and setup.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and production quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Inspect machined parts for defects, deviations from specifications, and quality issues, and make necessary adjustments to machining parameters or tooling to meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with other members of the production team, including designers, engineers, and assemblers, to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of machining activities, including production output, material usage, and equipment maintenance, using computerized systems or manual logs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma with additional vocational training or certification in machining or CNC programming preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) working as a machinist in the furniture industry.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials used in woodworking.
- Excellent mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain precision and accuracy in machining operations.
