Job Summary
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the upkeep and repair of the organization’s facilities and equipment. This role ensures that the physical environment remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. The Maintenance Officer will perform routine inspections, repairs, and general maintenance tasks.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Perform regular inspections of the building and its surroundings to identify areas needing repairs or improvements. Address issues such as faulty wiring, plumbing, and structural damage.
- Equipment Repairs: Carry out repairs on mechanical systems, heating and cooling units (HVAC), lighting systems, electrical equipment, and other operational systems as needed.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement and adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce equipment breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of facility assets.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the facility is in compliance with health and safety regulations. Promptly address any potential hazards or safety concerns. This includes inspecting fire safety systems and ensuring emergency exits and equipment are functioning properly.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to maintenance-related emergencies, including electrical outages, plumbing leaks, or equipment malfunctions.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services. Oversee and verify the quality of work performed by outside vendors.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of maintenance tools, equipment, and materials. Report any shortages to the Facilities Manager.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including inspections, repairs, and routine checks.
- General Upkeep: Perform basic janitorial tasks such as waste disposal, cleaning of common areas, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, departments, and management to ensure smooth operations within the facility. Provide support for any projects or activities requiring maintenance assistance.
Requirements:
