Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction and support as needed.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment and facilities are kept in optimal working condition.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, buildings, and systems to identify any potential issues or repairs.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Order and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials needed for maintenance tasks.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and coordinate necessary resources to resolve issues quickly.
• Liaise with other departments to plan and coordinate maintenance activities that may impact operations.
• Provide training and guidance to technicians to improve their skills and ensure high-quality work.
• Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and implement best practices for efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or supervision.
• Minimum of an OND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians.
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment, and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and other maintenance issues.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and tools for scheduling and tracking maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle emergencies, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices to ensure compliance in all maintenance operations.
• Organizational skills to manage maintenance records, schedules, and budgets efficiently.
