Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
- Handle ingredients, cook, and present food in an appealing manner.
- Follow daily menu plans and adjust recipes as needed based on inventory and customer preferences.
- Prepare special requests or customized orders as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Report shortages or order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff, including sous chefs and dishwashers, to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding orders and special requests.
- Inspect food quality and presentation before serving.
- Ensure that all dishes meet the establishment’s standards for taste, appearance, and temperature.
- Compliance: Adhere to food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Must have an SSCE
- Must be Neat and presentable
- Must have good communication skills
- Must know how to read and write fluently
