Marine Fitter

Responsibilities:

• Cargo tanks mid-month and monthly sampling
• Exercise and greasing of Cargo tanks purge valves, IG inlet valves, 3-way valves, and Fresh air inlet valves as required
• Support removal, carry out blinding, and reinstatement of the methanol bunkering hose reel,  Freshwater bunkering hose reel and Diesel bunkering hose reel as required
• Carry out Cargo tank hatches opening, closing, and greasing as required
• Carry out Ballast tanks hatches opening, closing, and greasing as required
• Support pump room cleaning and Bilge draining as required
• Support tasks associated with tank entry preparation, entry, and reinstatement as required.
• Carry out Cargo pumps physical isolation by way of Skillets insertion, removal, blind insertion, or /and removal and support valve isolation as required

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Marine Fitter 
• The ability to safely use hand and power tools. 
• Exceptional mechanical skills 
• Replacing damaged or defective structural components as required 
• The ability to work well with others and use initiative 
• Thorough attention to detail 
• General knowledge of construction standards
