Media Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with journalist, bloggers and industry influencers.
• Pitch compelling stories, secure media coverage and maintain media inquires.
• Monitor media coverage and analyze it’s impact on brand awareness and reputation
• Create engaging and informative contents, including press release, blog post,  articles, and social media updates
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop thought leadership pieces
• Manage content calendars and ensure timely publication
• Oversee and manage our social media channels (eg. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
• Develop and execute social media campaigns to drive engagement and reach target audiences.
• Monitor social media trends and analyze performance metrics
• Develop and implement crises communication plans to address potential issues and protect the company’s reputation.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for media inquires during crises.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or a similar role.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experienced with social media management tools and analytics
• Familiarity with the education industry and technology trends.

Additional Skills:

• Experienced in video production or editing
• Knowledge on SEO and content marketing
• Experience working in fast-paced start up environment
