Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical care, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients across different age groups.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Evaluate symptoms, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans, including medications and therapies.
- Emergency Care: Respond to emergency medical situations, performing life-saving procedures, and ensuring patients receive prompt treatment.
- Medical Procedures: Perform routine medical procedures, including minor surgeries, wound management, and other necessary interventions.
- Medical Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential medical records for all patients in line with legal requirements and best practices.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients on lifestyle changes, preventive measures, and treatment options to promote long-term health.
- Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Compliance: Ensure that medical care practices comply with relevant local and international health regulations and standards.
- Continued Learning: Keep up to date with the latest medical developments and treatments through professional development opportunities.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in continuous quality improvement processes to enhance healthcare delivery.
Requirements:
- A Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license.
- Proven 1 - 2 years post NYSC experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
