Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Radiographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients' health conditions, conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care. You will operate advanced medical imaging equipment such as CT scanners, MRI scanners, and X-ray machines.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including MRI, CT scans, X-rays e.t.c
  • Evaluate images for technical accuracy, ensuring proper patient identification and high-quality results.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Apply the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures performed.
  • Assist physicians, oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals with imaging-related patient care.
  • Identify and respond to emergency situations swiftly and appropriately.
  • Educate patients on pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure care.
  • Train and supervise radiography assistants and students as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the radiology department.


Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques (MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in hospital management software and radiology information systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional patient care and management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging Science from a recognized institution.
  • Relevant certifications in medical radiography and imaging technology.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a diagnostic or hospital setting.
  • Must be registered with the relevant professional bodies.
