Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Organize, update, and maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure proper filing and retrieval of medical records for seamless hospital operations.
- Handle patient registration, data entry, and documentation.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure records are accessible when needed.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and medical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medical record-keeping standards.
- Act as an HMO Desk Officer, which includes:
- Verifying patients' HMO eligibility before services are rendered.
- Ensuring proper documentation and filing of HMO patients' records.
- Liaising with HMOs regarding patient approvals.
- Ensuring correct application of HMO tariffs.
- Following up on pending approvals and resolving HMO-related issues.
Requirements:
- OND/HND/BSc in Health Information Management, or any related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a hospital or medical facility is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to take instructions and execute them flawlessly.
- Respect for authority and adherence to workplace structure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in medical records software, data entry, and document management systems.
