Mid-Level Golang Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Golang.
• Collaborate with the CTO to implement new technologies and features.
• Write clean, scalable code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize backend systems for performance and reliability.
• Ensure high-quality software by writing tests and conducting code reviews.
• Contribute to the development of innovative crypto-based solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Golang Backend Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of backend development concepts, including API design and microservices.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, SurrealDB, and TigerBeetle (a plus).
• Experience with JavaScript frontend frameworks like React or React Native is preferred.
• Proficient in version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A portfolio or proof of previous work is required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup based in Abuja, Nigeria.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of blockchain or crypto technologies is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with distributed systems or innovative database solutions is a plus.
