Mobile Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform;
• Collaborate with engineering and other teams to meet product deadlines;
• Work closely with the product team to accurately implement features based on designs and specifications;
• Support in developing best practices and writing clean, readable, maintainable code;
• Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability;
• Bug fixing and improving application performance;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
• Work with outside data sources and APIs;
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency;
• Other duties may arise from time to time and may be assigned to the employee.

Requirements:

• Experience developing Android mobile applications, with the added advantage of at least 1 sample project on the Google Play Store.
• Android, Kotlin, Java
• Research and Analytical skills
• Experience developing apps with Android SDK.
• Git, GitHub
• Knowledge of Android Architecture and experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Verbal & Written Communications Skills
• Documentation and Presentation skills
• Have a passion for large and complex platforms and how to optimize your customers' experience
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to enhance team collaboration while working with cross-functional teams
• Interpersonal skill
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle from development to release.
• Interest in building fintech solutions - wallets, payments integrations, etc.
