Network & Server Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and other systems.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement security measures to safeguard systems against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
• Deploy and manage applications on Windows and Linux servers
• Perform system backups and disaster recovery operations
• Initiate and implement policies and server security measures for access rights and permissions.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to identify and address any issues or vulnerabilities
• Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend remedial actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, HR, and IT teams, to ensure alignment between technical implementations and compliance requirements
• Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and audit trails to demonstrate compliance efforts and facilitate regulatory inspections or audits
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters, including data handling best practices, security protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (i.e. NITDA Data protection regulations)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Proficiency in IT systems administration, including experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, and security technologies.
• Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards
• Experience with compliance auditing, risk assessment, and remediation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
