Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of daily news coverage.
- Assign stories to reporters and guide them on angles, sources, and deadlines.
- Edit and proofread news articles for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and style.
- Ensure all content aligns with journalistic ethics and legal guidelines.
- Collaborate with photographers, designers, and digital teams to enhance storytelling.
- Monitor breaking news and trends to provide timely and relevant coverage.
- Work under tight deadlines to ensure timely publication or broadcast.
- Manage newsroom operations and coordinate with senior editors and publishers.
- Provide feedback and mentorship to reporters and junior editors.
- Adapt news content for different platforms, including print, web, and social media.
Requirements:
- BSc. Degree in a relevant course of study
- At least 1 year experience
